It takes a lot of time to sit around with a thumb up your butt. Trust me, I know. Basically that's what I have been doing. Check out Dueling Analogs while we all wait for that thumb to be removed.

Yesterday was my thirty-fifth birthday and it will be known forever as the day the King of Pop died. Just like Elvis, Jackson appears to have died from a massive heart attack. I'm quite curious nw to see if Jackson will replace Elvis as most profitable dead celebrity. Anyway, with the subject of "Thriller" being about a zombie uprising, how could I resist? I'd post the video for "Thriller" but it seems all they are all embed disabled. Bastards! So here's 1500 prisoners doing the Zombie Dance. Screw you W&M and your "world record over 200 people Zombie Dance."

Posted the comic a bit later than intended but at least it's up on time. You may have noticed the little tail walking across the panels. Looks a lot like Garfield's, huh? Well today is Garfield's birthday, so I thought I'd throw that in as an homage. Honestly I thought it made more sense since he's a comic strip character. Paula Abdul would have looked out of place (today is her birthday as well...).

It seems that I am on a "Punch and Judy" kick lately. Many years ago, when I was a kid, Busch Gardens in Williamsburg used to have a strolling "Punch and Judy" show that walked around their England section. I've always loved puppetry and I just got the biggest kick out of the show. They don't do "Punch and Judy" anymore. In this day and age where a kid can get expelled from school for drawing Han Solo shooting stormtroopers "Punch and Judy" aren't really politically correct. You got Punch, who gets into a fight with his neighbor, throws his baby out the window, beats his wife and a policeman to death, talks his hangman into hanging himself, and kill s the devil. And it's for kids! In fact I started doing some research of the history of "Punch and Judy." It's really quite fascinating. I've always assumed that it was just puppets wailing on each other (not having seen "Punch and Judy" in twenty-five years...) but there is a story involved. The puppeteer, called a Professor, usually adapts the story to his or her own style. Needless to say I'd really like to put on my own "Punch and Judy" show. This hippie-dippie, feel good, liberal politically correct doucheness be damned!
And in a strange twisted piece of coincidence, I got a compilation album with this song on it a couple of days ago:

This will probably be my favorite song of the summer...

I came across this by way of Grant Imahara of Mythbusters who is one of the few "celebrities" I follow on Twitter (the others being "Weird" Al, Penn Jillete, Adam Savage, Wil Weaton, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day...). Grant linked to this page which shows a full scale replica Gundam. I thought it was pretty cool and thought, "Gee I wonder what else they could make a full size replica of?" So here we are. When they build a full scale version of the SDF-1, then color me impressed...

It's true that I just saw the Universoul Circus last night and they put on an AWESOME show. I'd say it was totally worth the price of admission... but I got a free ticket. If you get the chance to see the show, go see it. It's totally worth it.
I did however have to have a bit of fun at Obama's expense. Especially when you have this media goober, Evan Thomas, who is editor of "Newsweek Magazine" calling Obama a "sort of god." Good thing it's only Fox News that's biased...

Garfield Minus Garfield, what else needs to be said? Steve and his wife got me the book for Christmas. I cried from laughing so hard at it. Sometimes when I'm putting a comic together, I have no idea what to do (as I'm sure you all have noticed...). I looked at my copy of the Garfield Minus Garfield book and I thought, Life Minus Joe, so there we go...

Ok, so last week I'm all set to watch my favorite show, "Mythbusters." I don't watch a lot of TV, in fact right now "Mythbusters" is really all I'm keeping up with. So I sit down, I have my pizza ready, and I'm all set to watch a new episode of "Mythbusters". I had just watched a little bit of the show that comes on before "Mythbusters", but had switched the channel. So I go back to Discovery and what do I get? A message from Cox Cable reading "You must subscribe to this channel to view it" (or something like that more or less...). Subscribe? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?! It's the Freakin' Discovery Channel! You don't subscribe to the Discovery Channel! Not when you have digital cable and a DVR (that was just recording a blank screen BTW...). Plus it was THE ONLY channel that that was happening to. All the other channels were coming in fine. Just the one hour of the one day of the week that I wanted to watch my show and I couldn't Now I know why the cable company is called Cox...
BTW: Thanks to Steve for giving me the "Mythbusters" myth...
